-Sand Wedge-
Gene Sarazen (1902-1999) won a series of major titles using his original designed club specifically for bunker shots called “The Sand Iron.” This was the birth of the sand wedge. Every top-class golfer since has utilized this wedge design and technique, and the same club design and method are also used by amateur players around the world. The sand wedge also began to be used by top players for shots from grass, shortly after Sarazen introduced it, and this led to a revolution in short-game techniques, along with lower scoring by players who mastered the skills.
However, in recent years, people have come to require sand wedges to be able to handle a wider range of conditions as competition rules limit players to 14 clubs. Its original characteristic as a club for getting out of bunkers gradually eroded, which caused the sand wedge to become an even more difficult club for general golfers to use, although professionals with abundant skill and practice time could still easy operate it.
The Portwikk Corp. has gone back the original sand wedge, which was known for its excellence, and developed The Bounce Magic™, applying our original developed CRS（Cross Round Sole）technology and making full use of the sand wedge characteristic ability for proper sand explosion, which is basically necessary when performing bunker shots.
